Small But Certain Happiness
I remember one of these moments not long ago. I had finished my errands and was heading back to my car, lost in my thoughts about all the stuff I still had to do. As I looked up, I saw an anime store nearby, something I'd seen before but never really paid attention to. This time, though, something caught my eye.
A couple came out of the store, both looking super happy. They were holding a model kit, but it wasn't the kit that made me smile—it was how happy they looked. Their joy was infectious, and even though I didn't know them, I couldn't help but feel happy too.
Their happiness made me think: what makes me that happy? What small thing could brighten someone else's day? It got me thinking long after that encounter and for days I had "Hello World" by Lady A in my head. And I realized I'd been too busy to appreciate the little things that make me happy and can make others happy too.
So, I decided to pay more attention to those little things—like enjoying that perfect cup of coffee on a rainy day, chatting with my family over dinner, hearing my kids laugh, or simply admiring nature. These simple moments became my treasures, reminding me that there's happiness all around if we look for it.
I want to share this happiness with others too. In a chaotic world, these small moments remind us of the beauty and magic out there. By embracing our own happiness, we can spread joy to others, just like that couple did for me that day. It also reminded me not to take the people I love for granted. Happiness is also found in the comfort of those we hold most dear, and we can easily mistake comfort for complacency.
So, I challenge you, dear reader, to find your own sources of happiness—no matter how small they seem. It could be a favorite memory or discovering something new. Once you find them, don't keep them to yourself. Share your happiness with the world. You never know who might need it.
In sharing our happiness, we not only make our own lives better but also make the world a brighter place, one small moment at a time. And that's something truly special.
I invite you to share your small but certain happiness with me in the comments or at the email in my profile.
And what would my post be without some music to share. 😊
